Tom graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver with a degree in electrical engineering. Achieving high academic success, Tom was the recipient of the Electrical Engineering Academic Achievement Award as well as graduating with Special Honors. Tom's studies focused on several aspects of power systems engineering including advanced systems analysis, electromagnetics, and communications.
Tom is experienced performing large industrial plant system modeling, short circuit analysis, and coordination studies. Through his background designing electrical systems, including spent nuclear storage sites and generation systems, Tom has been involved with engineering projects ranging from substation design to nuclear power plants. Additionally, Tom served in the U.S. Navy and has several years technical experience working with aviation electronics, communications and power systems.
Tom is a Registered P.E. in the state of Colorado.
